The easiest solution for synchronising files. It is easy to make all backups distributed across many devices
Application description
SyncTime is the simplest solution for synchronising files. Have you ever wanted to be able to easily keep all your backup copies spread over many devices up to date?
SyncTime will do just that.
Key features.
SyncTime has a lot of features, but is very simple to use. From manual, scheduled or fully automatic synchronisation, to background synchronisation, bi-directional synchronisation and complex filters, you will be able to set up synchronisation exactly as you imagine.
You can create as many sync items as you need and customise each one individually. A sync item consists of two main folders: the source folder and the target folder. You can select any two folders accessible in the Finder: they can be located on your Mac, on an external drive (e.g. a USB stick) or even on a remote server. Among the possible options, you will find.
Four overwrite policies: don’t touch files that already exist on the target; overwrite only if the source file is newer than the target; overwrite if the source file has a different timestamp; otherwise always overwrite
Three types of sync: one-way sync (default), two-way sync (merge source and target) and one-way move (delete source file after successful transfer to target). Please read carefully about these sync types in the “Help” section of the SyncTime website
Deleting files that no longer exist in the source
Background synchronisation: monitoring changes in real time so that the destination is always up to date
Automatic synchronisation starts as soon as the source and destination are available, or once a day, week or month
Each sync item can depend on other sync items: it will trigger the dependencies and run automatically when they are all complete
Files to be overwritten or deleted can be moved to the recycle bin or to a customised backup directory
Exclude hidden files, files with names or tags containing specific words or matching regular expressions and selected files. Or exclude the root directory and specify only a few contained files.
Other features include.
By default changes must be confirmed and you can check the files to be added, overwritten and deleted and preview them in QuickLook
Cancel a running sync at any time
Sync runs in parallel
Auto-start on login can be enabled from the status bar menu
Your Mac can be automatically set to sleep or switched off after all syncs are complete (requires the appropriate Applescript to be installed in the Scripts directory. For full details visit the website).
