With four new devices and a new library of material, more updates to optimize your workflow, the possibilities for music creation are endless through an optimized design!
Application Description
New device creation
Meet Wavetable, Echo, Drum Buss and Pedal, the new Live instruments and effects bring a whole new range of sound effects.
Meet Wavetable
Instantly playable and infinitely capable, Wavetable is a new synthesizer made by Ableton. Use the wavetable from the analogue synth, as well as a range of other instruments and sounds to shape, stretch and distort sounds. Start sculpting right away – even without deep synthesis knowledge – or explore its rich palette and potential through an intuitive interface.
Echo
Echo brings together the sounds of classic analogue and digital hardware delays into one device – your new delay. Drive and shape sounds with analogue analogue filters, add noise and oscillate vintage flaws, or add modulation and reverb to create diffuse sounds, wait for feedback and more.
Drum Buss
Drum Buss drums are a one-stop workstation for adding subtle character or bending and breaking drums to your heart’s content. Add warmth and distortion with drive and crunch, control dynamics with compression and transient shaping, dial in and adjust the moving arm and control bass decay with a dedicated low end section.
Pedal
With independent circuit-level modelling of overdrive, distortion and fuzz guitar pedals, the pedal brings the character of an analogue pedal box to the table. The effects range all the way from subtle to reckless – it’s great for warming up songs and other instruments, driving synth sounds or completely crushing drums. And of course, it sounds great on guitar.
Multiple workflow improvements
Browser collection
Keep your equipment, plug-ins and samples in front of you: create colour-coded collections and access them instantly in your browser.
Note chasing
Notes are now triggered even when playing from the middle, so you don’t need to play clips from the beginning, for example.
I / O renaming
Instantly select the correct routing by marking Live’s inputs and outputs to match the instruments and hardware in the studio.
Mixing improvements
With its improved gain range, you can use the Utility more effectively for volume automation, keeping the mixer free. the Utility and EQ Eight’s extended bass mono function in the 10Hz low frequency range gives you more precise bass control. The stereo mixer now allows flexible placement of individual channels in the stereo space.
Create groups within groups
Mix with greater flexibility – handle elements of a single group, a group or an entire bus. And easier to manage settings; even with lots of tracks and detailed arrangements, you can use multiple levels of groups to quickly collapse tracks for a simple overview.
Sophisticated look and feel
Live’s interface has been updated with sharper, clearer graphics and sophisticated colours. A range of optimised themes have improved visibility in all environments.
