A powerful file manager and a swift, fast FTP client installed in a clean and versatile UI that combines absolutely outstanding performance with the raw functionality that comes with perfectly executable Mac software.
Application Description
ForkLift, the most advanced dual-pane file manager and file transfer client for macOS.
Remote connections
Connect to SFTP, FTP, WebDAV, Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, Google Drive, Rackspace CloudFiles, SMB, AFP and NFS remote volumes and manage files quickly and easily across your network. You can connect to multiple servers at once and even copy between them by dragging and dropping.
Mini Forklift
sits on the menu bar and enables you to mount a saved remote connection as a disk, upload files from Finder to a remote server by drag and drop, or run a saved Synclet even when ForkLift is not running.
Synchronisation
Compare local or remote source and target folders to identify matching, modified, new and deleted files. Sync them once or both ways with a single click, or save them as favourites. If you’re a web developer, you’ll love this feature.
Preview
The preview panel displays useful information about the selected file. It allows you to play audio and video files, examine images, PDFs and other popular document types. You can make quick edits to text files on your local drive and on remote servers.
Quick open
Easily access favourites, devices, menu commands, open selected files using the desired application or apply previously saved multiple renaming presets to selected files or folders.
Multiple renaming
Use the Multi-Name tool when you need to rename a large number of files on a local drive or remote server. Change the case, replace text with regular expressions, add dates or sequences and then merge them into a saved preset.
Dark Mode
Turn on the stunning dark mode to reduce eye strain and focus on your work without distraction.

Favourite syncs
Keep all your favourites, synclets and renaming presets in sync between multiple computers with Dropbox.
Dropbox support

Tags
Use tags to organise documents and files: add, edit, delete, search or filter them in ForkLift.
Disklet
Mount remote servers and make them appear on the desktop as simple local drives.
Simultaneous browsing
Given two identical folder structures. Browse in one pane and then let ForkLift do the work for you in the other pane.

Search and filter by name, range, type, tag or content to find files quickly, even on remote servers.
Quick selection
Select files by typing their name, extension or tag, then add files or exclude them from the selection.

ForkLift comes with an application remover that removes the last part of the application you want to uninstall.
Remote editing
Set your preferred editor in ForkLift to edit remote files and we’ll upload your changes as you save them.
Archive management
Browse local and remote archives as if they were normal folders. You can even find, search and filter quickly.
Keyboard control
Control every action directly from the keyboard, including pressing the space bar to select a file.
Multiple languages
ForkLift speaks English, Chinese (simplified), Czech, French, German, Hungarian, Polish, Russian, Spanish and Ukrainian.
Workspace
Use the open tabs and locations to save different layouts and load the currently required content.
FXP Copy
With FXP Copy you can transfer data directly between FXP enabled servers without having to go through a Mac.
Tools
Extend ForkLift’s capabilities to the maximum by invoking the command line tools and using shortcuts to apply them.
Git support
ForkLift knows about git and will show you the status of individual files. You can add, commit, push and pull.
Open in the Terminal
An absolute must for advanced users. Open a terminal, iTerm, super or cat window in your current local path.
Hide files
Hidden files and folders can be easily displayed by using shortcuts or by pressing buttons in the toolbar.
Sharing
Sharing provides you with an easy way to share instant documents and other files with ease.
Default file viewer
By setting ForkLift as the default file viewer, almost every application will point to ForkLift instead of Finder.
File comparison
Compare two text or image files using Xcode’s FileMerge, Kaleiodoscope, Beyond Compare or Araxis Merge.
